National Protection


Most High God, I come to You in the Name of Jesus, asking for divine protection for the people of this country. I pray for the safety of every man, woman, and child. Keep us from harms way and provide protection from plans of destruction that our enemies have plotted. Stop their plans before they are evoked. Give wisdom, understanding and discernment to those who provide us protection. Help us to be watchful and alert to signs of wrongdoing. Please provide insight to national and local authorities on ways to guard, defend, and insure the safety of all American citizens both home and abroad. Helps us to unite with government leaders and law enforcement personnel in making this country a safe place to live, work, and play. Allow Americans to enjoy our freedom without fear. Amen.

Our enemies are guided by brutal cynicism, by unholy
contempt for the human race. We are inspired by a faith which goes
back through all the years to the first chapter of the Book of Genesis
- “God created man in His own image.” We on our side are striving to
be true to that Divine heritage. We are fighting, as our fathers have
fought, to uphold the doctrine that all men are equal in the sight of
God. Those on the other side are striving to destroy this deep belief
and to create a world in their own image, a world of tyranny and cruelty
and serfdom.

DAY 29 - DAILY PRAYER (MORALS) - JUNE 22, 2010

For a Moral Nation


O Heavenly Father, I know that the spirit of worldliness can creep into the Body of Christ very subtly, and before we know it, we can so easily be led astray. I pray You send Your Holy Spirit upon us, so that a moral, Christian voice can be heard and heeded by our leaders and the media. Cause us, as Christians, to become the standard bearers to such a degree that we can profoundly affect the morality of this nation. Turn our people's hearts to You. Open our eyes that we may see the error of our ways. Gather all Christians, Catholic and Protestant, together so that we form a united front against the wickedness and snares of the devil. Disarm the evildoers, leaving them powerless and not in control of our great nation. Inspire our media--television, newscasters, reporters, filmmakers, and celebrities--to promote a truly moral social justice and morally righteous entertainment and fashion. Be our strength when we are tempted to succumb to worldy things and ways. Help us to lead our lives all for the greater honor and glory of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

THANKSGIVING & PRAYER PROCLAMATION:


The United States should never be unmindful of the gratitude
they owe the God of Nations for His watchful care, which has shielded
them from dire disaster and pointed out to them the way of peace and
happiness.

Nor should they ever refuse to acknowledge with contrite
hearts their proneness to turn away from God’s teaching and to follow
with sinful pride after their own devices. To the end that these thoughts
may be quickened it is fitting that on a day especially appointed we
should join together in approaching the Throne of Grace with praise
and supplication.

For this is what you asked of the LORD your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly when you said, "Let us not hear the voice of the LORD our God nor see this great fire anymore, or we will die."

DAY 28 - DAILY PRAYER (FIRES) - JUNE 21, 2010

El-Shaddai (All Sufficient One),


We come to you in need for the Flagstaff area of Arizona.  The wild fires that burn there endanger homes, business, human and animal lives.  Lord, we seek Your sufficient mercy, and deliverance in this area of our nation.  Command the roaring fires to be extinguished in that land.  May the winds be silenced at Your voice, and the plumes of smoke dispersed with a wave of Your mighty hand.  


Lord, we also ask your great mercy across this entire nation.  Spare other cities across the county the disastrous effects of wild fires.  Grant mercy to those areas prone to fires, and give a reprieve to the people who inhabit those areas.  Bless us with Your unending goodness, and spare us from the threat of wild fires in our land.


We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ,


Amen.

spirit...I know now what the task means. I realize to the full the

If any people ever had cause to render up thanks to the Supreme
Being for parental care and protection extended to them in all the trials
and difficulties to which they have been from time to time exposed,
we certainly are that people.


From the first settlement of our forefathers on the continent,
through the dangers attendant upon the occupation of a savage
wilderness, through a long period of colonial dependence, through the
War of the Revolution, in the wisdom which led to the adoption of
the existing forms of republican government...the superintendence of
an overruling Providence has been plainly visible. 


As preparatory, therefore, to entering once more upon the high duties of 
legislation, it becomes us humbly to acknowledge our dependence upon Him 
as our guide and protector and to implore a continuance of His parental
watchfulness over our beloved country.

DAY 25 - DAILY PRAYER (FOREIGN RELATIONS) - JUNE 18, 2010

For Good Foreign Relations


O my Jesus, I pray for the international relations of my nation, because our global influence has allowed us into other countries to spread Your Holy Word in the past. I pray that those You raise up would give favor and offer safety to the missionaries in their respective nations.


Raise up wise men and women to fill our diplomatic corps, persons of skill, morals, and understanding in foreign affairs and in the affairs of state. Grant safety to our embassy personnel in every foreign land so they will be able to maintain good relations in their posts, and so that even our enemies will be at peace with them. I ask that Your Hand would be with our diplomats to such a degree that even the most fanatical of our enemies would fear attacking our embassies and their personnel. Rather, Lord, let our enemies begin to see the United States as an ensign of peace to the world and realize that living in peace is preferable to living in fear and bondage. 


Send Your Holy Spirit to alert our personnel of any potential attacks, and give them the power to quell them before they happen. Keep them always in the safety of Your Arms.

No man can study the movement of modern civilization from
an impartial standpoint, and not realize that Christianity and the spread
of Christianity are the basis of hope of modern civilization in the
growth of popular self government.


The spirit of Christianity is pure democracy. It is equality of
man before God - the equality of man before the law, which is, as I
understand it, the most God-like manifestation that man has been
able to make.
