Pledge of Allegiance of the United States

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

In 1954, in response to the Communist threat of the times, President Eisenhower encouraged Congress to add the words "under God," creating the 31-word pledge we say today. Today it reads:

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

Section 4 of the Flag Code states:

The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag: "I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.", should be rendered by standing at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. When not in uniform men should remove any non-religious headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart. Persons in uniform should remain silent, face the flag, and render the military salute."

You ARE Anointed

When my 2nd daughter Ashlyn was younger, she saw a bottle of Olive Oil we had left on our dining room table. We had forgotten all about the oil being there.  Before we knew it, Ashlyn had poured the whole bottle of oil onto our off white carpets.

Just like Ashlyn was pouring the Olive Oil onto our floor, I see God pouring His Anointing all over you this morning. “You have an anointing from the Holy One..” 1 John 2:20 (NKJV)

You may be asking, what is the Anointing?  The anointing is a pouring out from the Holy Spirit to enable a person to be able to perform a specific task or purpose. Another words, its Jesus being poured out all over you to impart supernatural strength and ability to do what He’s called you to do.

Maybe you aren’t feeling anointed this morning. I encourage you to get back to loving Him with all your heart, mind, and soul.  Hebrews 1:9 says, “You have loved righteousness [You have delighted in integrity, virtue, and uprightness in purpose, thought, and action] and You have hated lawlessness (injustice and iniquity). Therefore God, Your God has anointed you…”

You ARE Anointed!  Believe it & start walking in that anointing.  I also believe because of the anointing, some of you will laugh again.  Has it been a while since you have laughed?  Look at the last part of Hebrews 1:9, “He has anointed you with the oil of exultant joy and gladness.”  I speak the Joy of the Lord over you.  I see joy rising up in you. The joy of the Lord is upon you, and He is your strength. I pray that God saturates you so full of Him that you go forth in power and joy like never before.  You will never be the same in Jesus Name.  Pour it out Lord, pour it out!

Psalm 45:7(NLT) “…your God, has anointed you, pouring out the oil of joy on you…”  Anointing fall on us, fall fresh on us now, O God.  We need You Jesus. We can’t live without your precious Anointing.  Thank you for soaking us, drenching us to where we overflow with the Holy Spirit.  We receive it!  You ARE Anointed!

You are capable of so much with His anointing.  You CAN do ALL things through Him who give you strength.  I speak the Anointing of God on you, so Go forth and preach the good news of Jesus Christ with boldness, pray for the sick to be healed, proclaim freedom to all captives, announce the year of His grace, pray comfort for those who mourn, and rebuild & repair things that have been destroyed.

Praise the Lord for freedom, healing, and restoration for everyone we come in contact with because of the anointing on us.  We worship you Lord Jesus in Spirit and in Truth.

Friends, You ARE Anointed!

DAY 20 - DAILY PRAYER (WILD FIRES) - JUNE 13, 2012

June 13

El-Shaddai (All Sufficient One),

We come to you in need for the Colorado wild fires.  The wild fires that burn there endanger homes, business, human and animal lives.  Lord, we seek Your sufficient mercy, and deliverance in this area of our nation.  Command the roaring fires to be extinguished in that land.  May the winds be silenced at Your voice, and the plumes of smoke dispersed with a wave of Your mighty hand.  Prevent the smoke from these fires from causing harm to those with breathing problems, and clear the skies of it's damaging effects on this earthbound environment.

Lord, we also ask your great mercy across this entire nation.  Spare other cities across the county the disastrous effects of wild fires.  Grant mercy to those areas prone to fires, and give a reprieve to the people who inhabit those areas.  Bless us with Your unending goodness, and spare us from the threat of wild fires in our land.

We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ,

Amen.

DAY 20 - DAILY HISTORY - AMERICAN MINUTE FOR JUNE 13, 2012

June 13

19-year-old Marquis de Lafayette purchased a ship and sailed to America, arriving JUNE 13, 1777.

Trained in the French Military, he was appointed a major general.

Lafayette endured the freezing winter at Valley Forge, and fought at Brandywine, Barren Hill and Monmouth.

Lafayette led troops against the traitor Benedict Arnold and commanded at Yorktown, pressuring Cornwallis to surrender.

On May 10, 1786, George Washington wrote from Mount Vernon to Marquis de Lafayette:

"Your late purchase of an estate in the colony of Cayenne, with a view of emancipating the slaves on it, is a generous and noble proof of your humanity.

Would to God a like spirit would diffuse itself generally into the minds of the people of this country."

On August 15, 1787, in a letter from Philadelphia to the Marquis de Lafayette, George Washington wrote:

"I am not less ardent in my wish that you may succeed in your plan of toleration in religious matters. Being no bigot myself to any mode of worship, I am disposed to indulge the professors of Christianity in the church with that road to Heaven which to them shall seem the most direct, plainest and easiest, and the least liable to exception."

Sing A New Song

Psalm 96:1- (NASB) “Sing to the LORD a new song; Sing to the LORD, all the earth.”

When the girls were babies, I would sing to them while rocking them to sleep.  While rocking them, I would be singing songs that I knew to them, and then I would start singing a new song.   Sometimes, it would be a tune of one song and God would just give me new words.   Even though I was singing to the girls, I was really singing to My Lord.  What sweet memories I have of those special times.  Now that the girls are too old to rock, I just sing to Him all the time because I love Him.  I sing, Lord draw me away with you.  I just want to be with you in your secret place.  I just want to say your name, Jesus..

In Psalm 33:3 it says,  “Sing to Him a new song…”

You may be saying, I don’t know how or what singing a new song to the Lord means.. Let me try to explain:

Its singing from your in most being, singing a private song to God.. honoring him for what he’s done for you.. almost like writing a love note to him directly from your heart..  It’s singing a song of your own words describing & proclaiming your love & adoration to Him.    Proclaiming your freedom in Him, it’s showing those around you that You WILL praise Him no matter what happens or doesn’t happen..

When those around you see you singing a new song, they will see God’s goodness & mercy because of your new song.  Psalm 40:3 (NLT)“He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God.  Many will see what he has done and be amazed.  They will put their trust in the Lord.”

Why not start singing a new song unto the Lord?  Just start humming to Him and then slowly start opening your mouth to sing..  Don’t let the devil talk you out of it or tell you how stupid it sounds.   God knows your heart and will love to hear you sing to Him.   God loves songs of adoration to Him.  There will be so much wonderful worship in Heaven.  It says in Revelation 14:3, it says, “They sang as it were a new song before the throne…. ” and in Revelation 5:9, “And they sang a new song, saying: ‘You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals; For You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood.  Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation.”

God tells us repeatedly in His Word to sing a new song to the Lord.  Let His overwhelming peace, love and joy surround you as you begin right now singing to Him.

Psalm 98:1-2(AMP) “SING to the Lord a new song, for He has done marvelous things..”
