Pledge of Allegiance of the United States

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

In 1954, in response to the Communist threat of the times, President Eisenhower encouraged Congress to add the words "under God," creating the 31-word pledge we say today. Today it reads:

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

Section 4 of the Flag Code states:

The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag: "I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.", should be rendered by standing at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. When not in uniform men should remove any non-religious headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart. Persons in uniform should remain silent, face the flag, and render the military salute."

DAY 7 - DAILY BIBLE VERSE (DEATH FOR A FRIEND) - MAY 31, 2010

John 15:13 (King James Version)

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

DAY 7 - DAILY PRAYER (MEMORIAL DAY) - MAY 31, 2010

Patriotism is remembering the past, respecting the present and preparing for the future.
Patriotism is not what you say, it's what you do.
Patriotism is awe and wonder at what is and what can be.
Patriotism is a " can do" attitude.
Patriotism is taking part, not copping out.
Patriotism is duty and diligence.
Patriotism is an appreciation of peace and a willingness to defend it .

"Dear Lord , "For Such A time as this" in Our history of Government in USA  the right kind of Patriotism is needed more than ever.  Lets us all consider it's cost. And more than that be willing to pay that price to bring USA back to her foundation of Truth ,Honor and Courage to do the right thing to keep her Free.

WARREN G. HARDING, MAY 3, 1921, NATIONAL MEMORIAL
DAY PROCLAMATION:

Whereas this nation has been conceived in prayer and devotion
by men and women who were moved under God to found a nation
where principles of right should form the lasting cornerstone; and
Whereas there principles purchased at the price of great sacrifice have
been fostered by a worthy posterity...I...invite my fellow citizens to
pay homage on this day to a noble dead who sleep in homeland, beneath
the sea or on foreign field that we who survive might enjoy the blessings
of peace and happiness.

America Mourns

As a people, we have seen such tragedy in this nation.  From oil laden waters, to towns destroyed by tornadoes.  We each have known great suffering, sorrow, and loss in one way or another.  As a nation, we must seek the comfort of the Holy Spirit, and the healing of JEHOVAH-ROPHE - "The Lord Who Heals" Ex. 15:22-26. From "rophe" ("to heal"); implies spiritual, emotional as well as physical healing. (Jer. 30:17, 3:22; Isa. 61:1) God heals body, soul and spirit; all levels of man's being.

DAY 6 - DAILY BIBLE VERSE (MOURN) - MAY 30, 2010

Matthew 5:4 (NIV)

 4Blessed are those who mourn,
      for they will be comforted.

DAY 6 - DAILY PRAYER (MOURNING) - MAY 30, 2010

Bless those who mourn, eternal God, with the comfort of your love that they may face each new day with hope and the certainty that nothing can destroy the good that has been given. May their memories become joyful, their days enriched with friendship, and their lives encircled by your love. Amen.

DAY 6 - DAILY HISTORY (MOURNING) - MAY 30, 2010

GEORGE W. BUSH, SEP. 14, 2001, NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER
& REMEMBRANCE, NATIONAL CATHEDRAL:

This world He created is of moral design. On this national day
of prayer and remembrance, we ask almighty God to watch over our
nation, and grant us patience and resolve in all that is to come. We
pray that He will comfort and console those who now walk in sorrow.
We thank Him for each life we now must mourn, and the promise of a
life to come. As we have been assured, neither death nor life, nor
angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to
come, nor height nor depth, can separate us from God’s love.
May He bless the souls of the departed. May He comfort our own.
And may He always guide our country. God bless America.

REASON FOR PRAYING AGAINST ABORTION TODAY

Abortions by video to expand across the U.S.
by Tom Strode — BP

DAY 5 - DAILY BIBLE VERSE - MAY 29, 2010

Jeremiah 1:5 (New International Version)

5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew [a] you,
       before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."

DAY 5 - DAILY PRAYER (PRAYER TO END ABORTION) - MAY 29, 2010

Prayer to end abortion in the USA:

God, Our Father in Heaven:

We thank you for this country, and for our freedom. We pray for the wisdom to protect and preserve this freedom given by You without corruption. We pray for life and freedom for all your children, born and unborn. We seek your guidance to find a way to end abortion in the USA.

We pray for our government leaders, that they may protect and honor life from conception to natural death. That they may use their position of power to help the powerless. We pray for the clergy to have the courage to speak out, to educate the people. That they may lift up the unborn in prayer and provide good council to all that come to them.

We pray for the American people to speak out against abortion. To have the strength to share their stories and their pain in order to bring the light to those currently in the dark. Especially those who have experienced abortion personally, let them encourage others to make the right choice. Send your healing to those who are hurting and teach us how to be there for those in need. We pray for all women currently thinking about abortion. That they may find support from those around them - family, friends, even strangers but especially the fathers. May the fathers support and encourage the mothers to choose life.

We pray for a way to show the atrocity of abortion to all of America, to change hearts and minds. To break the chains of abortion, and for the dramatic conversion of all abortionists and abortion workers. May the scales fall from their eyes and may they see the innocence of life in the unborn and vow to protect it. Grant us ideas and talents to bring about a wide scale change of heart across America.

Amen.

DAY 5 - DAILY HISTORY (ABORTION) - MAY 29, 2010

RONALD REAGAN, JAN. 19, 1982, NEWS CONFERENCE:

I have been one who believes that abortion is the taking of a
human life...The fact that they could not resolve the issue of when life
begins was a finding in and of itself. If we don’t know, then shouldn’t
we morally opt on the side of life? If you came upon an immobile
body and you yourself could not determine whether it was dead or
alive, I think that you would decide to consider it alive until somebody
could prove it was dead. You wouldn’t get a shovel and start covering
it up. And I think we should do the same thing with regard to abortion.

GEORGE W. BUSH, AUG. 6, 2002, SIGNING BORN-ALIVE
INFANTS PROTECTION ACT H.R. 2175:
The history of our country is the story of a promise, a promise
of life and liberty made at our founding and fulfilled over the centuries
in our laws. It is a story of expanding inclusion and protection for the
ignored and the weak and the powerless. And now we extend the
promise and protection to the most vulnerable members of our society...
The Born Alive Infants Protection Act..ensures that every infant born
alive-including an infant who survives an abortion procedure-is
considered a person under federal law...The Born Alive Infants
Protection Act establishes a principle in America law and American
conscience: there is no right to destroy a child who has been born
alive. A child who is born has intrinsic worth and must have the full
protection of our laws...Unborn children are members of the human
family...They reflect our image, and they are created in God’s own image.

Day 4 - DAILY BIBLE VERSE (OBEY) - MAY 28, 2010

Deuteronomy 28:1-3 (New International Version)

Blessings for Obedience

1 If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. 2 All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God: 3 You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.

DAY 4 - DAILY PRAYER (PRAY THAT YOU REIGN) - MAY 28, 2010

Father in heaven we pray that you would reign as the one true living God of this land we call America. We pray that the nations love of idolatry , power, and money would come to an end. We pray that people would come back to more of a fear of you, than pleasing the god of this world. We pray that the true manifest power of Jesus would come back to our churches, making the world jealous of your presence and favour on our lives. We pray that you would make our enemies our footstool, and that Jesus Christ would be supreme once again in this great nation.

We ask for your forgiveness and lack of passion the church has had in the past. We know that religion can not save us, church can not save us, only your blood and the cross give us true power. So know Lord we turn our backs on the world’s system, as the love of many is waxing cold, our love for you if ever growing. We the bride of Christ are preparing for your soon return getting our eyes and attentions off the temporal things to things of the eternal. Save us by your mercy and grace Father , revive the hearts of your children once again we pray in Jesus name amen.

DAY 4 - DAILY HISTORY (WILLIAM MCKINLEY) - MAY 28, 2010

WILLIAM MCKINLEY, MAR. 4, 1897, 1ST INAUGURAL:

I assume the arduous and responsible duties of President of
the United States, relying upon the support of my countrymen and
invoking the guidance of Almighty God. Our faith teaches that there
is no safer reliance than upon the God of our fathers, who has so
singularly favored the American people in every national trial, and
who will not forsake us so long as we obey His commandments and
walk humbly in His footsteps...
It is consoling and encouraging to realize that free speech, a
free press, free thought, free schools, the free and unmolested right of
religious liberty and worship, and free and fair elections are dearer and
more universally enjoyed to-day than ever before...
Illiteracy must be banished from the land if we shall attain
that high destiny as the foremost of the enlightened nations of the
world which, under Providence, we ought to achieve...
I would have all my countrymen observe: “I will faithfully
execute the office of the President of the United States, and will, to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.” This is the obligation I have reverently taken
before the Lord Most High. To keep it will be my single purpose, my
constant prayer.

DAY 3 - DAILY HISTORY (BLESSED NATION) - MAY 27, 2010

ABRAHAM LINCOLN, MAR. 30, 1863, NATIONAL DAY OF HUMILIATION, FASTING @ PRAYER PROCLAMATION:  it is the duty of nations as well as of men to own their dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions in humble sorrow yet with assured hope that genuine repentence will lead to mercy and pardon, and to recognize the sublime truth, announced in the Holy scriptures and proven by all history: that those nations only are blessed whose God is the Lord.

Day 2 - Bible Verse - May 26, 2010

1 Chronicles 16:8 NIV

8 Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name;
make known among the nations what he has done.

Day 2 - Daily Prayer (Thankfulness) - May 26, 2010

Heavenly Father,  Holy Spirit, & Jesus,

Only You know the future of everyone.  You’ve placed us all together on Earth, and generations have tried to figure out life.  As Your people, we look only to You for life.  We’d be foolish to seek a life without The One who gives us life.  Our days are written down and published as the sun goes down each day.  We tend to not reflect on the thankfulness of having a full day, but we seem to only look to the tasks that await us tomorrow.  My prayer for each American is to daily reflect on the days we have been given.  Giving thanks for what God has given to us.  God, please mend the hearts of Your people with thankfulness, forgiveness, mercy, kindness, gentleness, peace, & Love.
Now, I pray that America rises up only to follow our Savior on His mission to save the World, the World He created & loves with all of His heart.  We need to start with our own homes & homeland.  As we receive forgiveness & healing, then we can get up and move into the World under One banner, His banner.
America, remember Who established us, and remember Who sustains us.  Strengthen yourselves on your knees, thanking the only One Who knows the future of everyone.

Thanks be to God,
God be with you,

Day 1 - Bible Verse - May 25, 2010

2 Chronicles 7:14 (New International Version)

14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Day 1 - Daily Prayer (Repentance) - May 25, 2010

Lord,

We come to You today to ask forgiveness for the many sins of this nation.

Forgive us for not keeping the Sabbath Holy, as You declared, but instead we have turned Sunday into a day of sports and recreation.

Lord, Your word states You are a jealous God. Please forgive us for tolerating other religions, such as Islam, and their disrespect of You and Your nation.

Forgive us for not raising the children of this nation to love and respect You as their Lord.  We have not told them there is a clear right and wrong.  Forgive us for allowing prayer to be taken out of public schools, and allowing man’s politics to teach them a false history of this nation and other national propaganda.

Forgive us for electing officials with good economic plans and deplorable morals, with no respect for You Lord.

Forgive us for being a divided body.  For not standing together as one family, united under one Holy God.  Lord, may we now come together working to further Your kingdom.

Lord, forgive us for thinking Your money, is our money.  Lord that what we have gained on earth, somehow has come from our own strength.  Forgive us for storing up our treasures here on earth, and not in heaven.  Please give us an eternal mindset.

Forgive us for turning sex into a casual, adulterous, careless act, with no regard for what You intended of these binding relations.  There are many secrets in many hearts, in Your church, and outside of Your church.  The devil has crept in, and has a stronghold in many of our lives.  Lord, may the sacred unity of a man and a woman be forever upheld, and for whatever we are at fault in, either personally or as a nation, we repent.

Forgive us for allowing minority groups of sinners to speak louder than the believers in this country.  They are like yapping little dogs! Lord, we ask you to muzzle them, and help us to become a bold and outspoken representation of You, Your word, and Your saving grace to this community and to the nation.

Lord, please forgive us for running to You in the bad times, and forgetting You in the good times.  Yes, Lord you are the God of the valley, but also the God of the mountain.  Please Lord, be in our loves everyday, not just in tragedy.

Lord, now I will ask You to speak to all the hearts gathered here today.  Lord, tell us what else we need to repent of, either personally, as a church or as a nation.  May we confess those sins to you now.

Luke 18: 10-14

10"Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11The Pharisee stood up and prayed about[a] himself: 'God, I thank you that I am not like other men—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. 12I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.'

13"But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, 'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.'

14"I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."

In closing, we are sorry for all the sins of this nation.  Please accept our humble prayer of repentance to You.  Please move in a mighty way across this Nation.  Please Lord, honor this 40 days of prayer and fasting.  May all we do bring glory to You!

In Jesus Name, Amen

Day 1 - Daily History (Repentance) - May 25, 2010

On June 12, 1775, less than two months after the Battles of
Lexington and Concord, where was fired “the shot heard ‘round the world,”
the Continental Congress, under President John Hancock, declared:
“Congress...considering the present critical, alarming and
calamitous state...do earnestly recommend, that Thursday, the 12th
of July next, be observed by the inhabitants of all the English Colonies
on this Continent, as a Day of Public Humiliation, Fasting and Prayer,
that we may with united hearts and voices, unfeignedly confess and
deplore our many sins and offer up our joint supplications to the Allwise,
Omnipotent and merciful Disposer of all Events, humbly
beseeching Him to forgive our iniquities...It is recommended to
Christians of all denominations to assemble for public worship and to
abstain from servile labor and recreations of said day.”
