Pledge of Allegiance of the United States

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

In 1954, in response to the Communist threat of the times, President Eisenhower encouraged Congress to add the words "under God," creating the 31-word pledge we say today. Today it reads:

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

Section 4 of the Flag Code states:

The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag: "I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.", should be rendered by standing at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. When not in uniform men should remove any non-religious headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart. Persons in uniform should remain silent, face the flag, and render the military salute."

SHARE IN THE 2012 CAMPAIGN OF PRAYER FOR AMERICA!

Numbers 11:16-17 (NIV)

16 The LORD said to Moses: “Bring me seventy of Israel’s elders who are known to you as leaders and officials among the people. Have them come to the tent of meeting, that they may stand there with you. 17 I will come down and speak with you there, and I will take some of the power of the Spirit that is on you and put it on them. They will share the burden of the people with you so that you will not have to carry it alone.

Please consider submitting an original prayer for the 2012 campaign of prayer - 40 Days of seeking the Lord for this land.

I would be happy to accept your original one-two paragraph prayer for the concern that God places on your heart.  Please provide your name, location (country, state, or city), and any organization that you may represent / or your denomination.

Prayers may be submitted immediately, or throughout the 40-day prayer event in 2012 to: 40dayprayer4theusa@gmail.com

God Bless You!
