Pledge of Allegiance of the United States

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

In 1954, in response to the Communist threat of the times, President Eisenhower encouraged Congress to add the words "under God," creating the 31-word pledge we say today. Today it reads:

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

Section 4 of the Flag Code states:

The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag: "I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.", should be rendered by standing at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. When not in uniform men should remove any non-religious headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart. Persons in uniform should remain silent, face the flag, and render the military salute."

DAY 18 - DAILY DEVOTION - JUNE 11, 2012

June 11

Care Free

As I sat watching my youngest daughter, Alivia, swinging on her swing this morning, the Lord reminded me that I needed to be like a little child.  I said, “How Lord?”  He gently said, “See Alivia her hair blowing in the wind, and she doesn’t have a care in the world.  She is enjoying the warm weather, the sun shine & etc.. Why?  Because she knows you will take care of everything that concerns her.”

I was reminded every second of every day, to cast all my anxiety’s, cares, concerns, dreams, frustrations, hopes, let-downs, expectations, could have’s, should have’s and would have’s on Him..

1 Peter 5:7 (AMP) “Casting the whole of your care all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.”

He also said,  “Stop trying to carry the load, you are weighing yourself down!  You cause yourself un-needed headaches, neck aches, and back aches with all your un-necessary carrying of such heavy loads that only I (God) was meant to carry.”

Will you join me in being like a child now? Care Free!!

I am so glad that I don’t have to carry the load anymore.  The load was burdensome and heavy.  I can already feel the lifting of my neck and shoulders back to the place they should be without hurt or pain.

Thank you Lord for carrying our cares & worries on the cross for us.  We are free of the worries of this world because of the load you carried at Calvary.  Thank you Jesus for affectionately caring so much for us, that you carried it ALL!!!

Glory and Honor to His Holy Name!

1 Peter 5:7 (NLT) “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.”
