Thank you again for joining with us in prayer for this nation. The Lord has placed a unique burden on my heart for 2014, calling forth prayer for our nation; one state at a time. We will engage in 50 days of prayer, as we lift up the government, people, needs, and special prayer concerns of each of our 50 states that comprise this great nation....ONE NATION UNDER GOD! May our Almighty Father bless you and protect you, and May God Bless America!
Pledge of Allegiance of the United States
"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
In 1954, in response to the Communist threat of the times, President Eisenhower encouraged Congress to add the words "under God," creating the 31-word pledge we say today. Today it reads:
"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
Section 4 of the Flag Code states:
The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag: "I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.", should be rendered by standing at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. When not in uniform men should remove any non-religious headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart. Persons in uniform should remain silent, face the flag, and render the military salute."

DAY 17 - DAILY PRAYER (PUBLIC SERVANTS) - JUNE 10, 2010
Our Heavenly Father:
I come before you to humbly ask for Your blessing and guidance upon the public servants of our nation and the world, and especially those in law enforcement. In an era where one scandal seems to follow another, I ask that you strengthen us Lord, that we may always focus on what is the right thing to do, and that all of our actions and decisions would be acceptable to You. Please remind us each day that although we serve the public, our foremost obligation is to do Thy will and to serve You.
Thank you Lord for the opportunity to serve our communities, and we pray for strength and wisdom as we meet the challenges of these difficult times.
In Christ’s name we pray, Amen
